I think it is wrong that services that are virtually human rights are there for the purpose of making money.

Return energy to public ownership.

Re-nationalise now.

This country should by now be secure in the provision of clean, renewable, affordable energy. It is the shame of recent governments that we are not.

Let’s pull the plug on the fat cats.

It is obscene for anyone (including the government with VAT) and especially foreigners to make money from the sale of domestic fuel. Privatisation is essential.

Profiteering based on the sale of a commodity which is essential to life and basic human comfort is outrageous. Nationalisation would end this.

Privatisation has proved not to be in the interests of the nation. Competition has not resulted in companies vying to please customers, but in a self-interested cartel.

I have photo-voltaics and have done a lot to make my home energy efficient. It would be good if the government allowed us to do the same with national energy provision.

Things that everyone needs to survive should not be subject to profits for a few.

Energy is an essential part of life. We shouldn’t be held to ransom by those who are only out for profit. Nationalise and reinvest the profits and/or reduce bills.

Heating and hot water should not be for commercial gain.

private companies are more concerned about profits for shareholders than providing a service. This is inevitable if they want to attract investors.

At the moment energy companies can print money. The Government is powerless to stop them.

We need to get back to a uniform fair price with profits going into improvements, not shareholders’ pockets.

Stop the Great British rip-off. Bring back utilities and transport into our ownership.

Re-nationalise, run the power supplies as a service, not a way of making a few richer while the majority struggle to pay the bills. Any profit made is kept in the country.

Fuel should be at cost and not be for profit.
