Something as essential as our energy should not be in private hands.

Certain commodities should be owned by the people, for the people. Energy, public transport, water.

Energy sales need to be under state ownership again. It’s time to stop the daylight robbery we are subjected to by the Big Six energy companies. Enough is enough.

Restore security and sovereignty by restoring energy, utilities and transport to public ownership.

Gas and electricity is a ‘must commodity’ for everyone and should be re-nationalised asap, provided they are managed by competent experts in the respective fields.

Time to repair the damage the last Tory government did. I wonder if they are brave enough?

Re-nationalise.

Keep power prices down and cut down on dividends to shareholders.

One of the evil things the Tories did was privatisation.

Energy should not be privately owned as profits go to shareholders first. Also those on the lowest incomes and on pre-pay meters pay the most for their fuel.

I’m just sick of being ripped off by these greedy power companies.

Re-nationalise and rationalise the energy sector. As long as companies can make a profit exploiting natural resources they will continue to do so.

Honesty and firmness please.

All have the right to have access to essentials for life, which includes an energy supply, regardless of ability to pay.

I support the dream but has anyone any idea of the cost of re-nationalising?

Basic needs should not be in the hands of big business.

I want to own what belongs to me, and what has been stolen from me.

Give the people their utilities back. They’re too important for the privateers to own.

It’s about time we stopped foreign countries buying into us and ripping out our roots.

The increases over the last few years show that this government is only interested in big business as usual. Disgraceful.

And promote microgeneration and community owned renewables.

Because energy is too important to be left to the spivs.

Privatisation has been bad for everybody apart from the very rich. The country has gone to the dogs since things were privatised.

Re-nationalise, run the power supplies as a service, not a way of making a few richer while the majority struggle to pay the bills. Any profit made is kept in the country.

This needs to happen. The greedy capitalists have taken the rug from under us and left fellow members of our nation with the difficult choice of heating or eating.

I want all utilities re-nationalised.

It’s about time something like this came up. I agree wholeheartedly and wish every success to the campaign, which I will follow and support.

Making profit from essential public services shouldn’t be allowed.
