The essential infrastructure of a country shouldn’t be in the hands of money-making private enterprises. They should be run for the good of the people of the country.

Big business has had too much power for too long. Its time to return it back to the people.

Monopoly may be a popular game but in real life it’s no fun for the customer. It’s just a cartel in disguise.

Privatisation of Britain’s public services has been a disaster for consumers, the environment and the economy.

Power to the people to eradicate poverty caused by big power companies and big businesses making huge profits of millions of pounds by selling energy at high prices.

Heating and hot water should not be for commercial gain.

If electricity supply can be run at a profit, that profit should go directly to improving the country not to shareholders. I would have thought that was obvious.

Take back the assets that formerly belonged to the British people. They were fraudulently sold by Mrs Thatcher to the benefit of her friends in the Conservative party.

We need to re-think how our power is produced, by developing local power production rather than the out-dated transportation of power across the country by pylons.

We need a power company that the country owns not companies run by profiteers.

The sooner the energy companies are re-nationalised the better it will be for the customers.

Something as essential as power generation should not be in the hands of people whose only interest is in short term shareholder gain.

It’s time for a return to non-profit utilities, providing public services in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.

Play fair.

Bring back the CEGB. They would have solved the reduction of CO2 problem, got nuclear generation, got safe generation margins etc.

More power to your elbow. Something needs to be done to stop this profiteering on something that people rely on.

Utilities should be in public hands and not those of profit-seeking, and often foreign, owners.
