I can’t see how paying dividends can do anything other than take money away from customer service or lower prices.

Basic utilities that underpin the infrastructure of a nation should never be in the hands of private, often foreign, businesses.

I prefer the country’s energy supply in the hands of politicians and not capitalists, but the margin is very slight.

Utilities are too important to the public to be run at their expense for private profit.

The more of us unite and speak out the better.

Give us decently priced fuels.

Why do people not shift away from the Big Six? If everyone did they’d soon think again about their prices.

Putting food on the table is hard enough without worrying about the cost of cooking it.

I’m tired of being overcharged and paying more for ever decreasing benefit. Nationalise now.

Re-nationalise and rationalise the energy sector. As long as companies can make a profit exploiting natural resources they will continue to do so.

This cartel of foreign-owned utilities should be more accountable.

Re-nationalised power could act as a flywheel for the economy. Nationalised power could provide jobs, training, economical energy for business and private individuals.

Give us our power back and allow us the means to produce our own energy on a community basis without the political constraints of large corporations.

Public utilities should never have been privatised. The Big Six are becoming more expensive because they are not exploiting renewables.

I’m fed up with being milked to pay for energy bosses’ bonuses. After being caught price fixing too. It’s about time the profits were re-invested in the system.

Profit from privatisation is given to shareholders whereas profits from nationalisation is re-invested to improve the system. Government has ultimate control, not fat cats.
