With this bunch of bully-boys in power, the campaign for re-nationalisation based on cold hard numbers, highlighting how we’ve lost out is needed more than ever.

It should never have been privatised.

All profit to be re-invested in the service.

All vital public services such as energy, water, transport, postal services, education and health have no place being run for profit by tax-dodging multinationals.

Lives before excessive profit.

Give the money back that you have overcharged consumers.

I just want a reliable, fair, publicly-owned utility, not a never-ending cycle of chasing different suppliers to get good value.

Everyone needs energy and at a cost that protects and enhances life, rather than simply unearned dividend payments which are used to make rich people even richer.

Utilities need to return to public ownership. We’re being ripped off.

Bring back the CEGB. They would have solved the reduction of CO2 problem, got nuclear generation, got safe generation margins etc.

The promise that privatisation would bring lower prices and a better service is as false with rail as with water, energy and soon the post.

Light and heat are basic human needs and profits should not be made from their provision.

Water and power services should be run by national authorities. Extra money needed for investment could be borrowed at fixed rates. This petition really needs to go big.

Return to public ownership for the people’s benefit.

Our energy needs to be renewable and prices need to be fairer for all.

We need to get back to a uniform fair price with profits going into improvements, not shareholders’ pockets.
