I want public utilities in state hands, not those of corporations.

Allowing vital national infrastructure like this to be monopolised by a small number of multinational corporations is just madness. It always was.

The energy companies are ripping us off in order to make fat profits. This is wrong.

Customer choice in the provision of essential utilities makes no sense. Nationalisation of these industries serves the people of the country well.

It should never have been privatised in the first place.

It’s plain common sense.

Re-nationalised power could act as a flywheel for the economy. Nationalised power could provide jobs, training, economical energy for business and private individuals.

Tell Sid he’s a thief.

Nationalisation is for the benefit of the vast majority of the British people.

Power to and for the people. Let’s move society forward.

All energy should be state owned.

Free market capitalism is not the best way for everything and is certainly not the optimal philosophy for providing essential services to a country’s population.

Power supplies are too important to leave privateers in control.

To be warm is a basic human right, like a roof over your head – and education and health care.

It’s time to take back what’s ours.

Energy is a public resource. Surely it makes sense that its production and distribution is managed for the public good, not massive profit for a tiny minority of people.

Let’s pull the plug on the fat cats.

Life is too short.

Gas and electricity were once in public ownership and ran without problems of profit making. They should be returned to public ownership.

We need clean, green, renewable, non-nuclear energy, non biomass energy produced as much as possible close to the user with many more home producers.

Certain commodities should be owned by the people, for the people. Energy, public transport, water.

The ridiculous greed of all energy companies and their suppliers must stop. We must also find ways of reducing our reliance on fossil fuels without it costing the earth.

Get back to sanity.

I am fed up with being ripped off by these companies.

People dying due to profiteering and government indifference is nothing short of corporate manslaughter.

The power companies were stolen from the people. Repossess them immediately.

This needs to happen. The greedy capitalists have taken the rug from under us and left fellow members of our nation with the difficult choice of heating or eating.

The Big Six are corporate thieves.
