Tory MPs are only concerned with making the rich richer at the expense of the poor. Equality? No.

Profit is not a dirty word – all businesses need it to survive, but what we have with the energy companies is pure unvarnished greed.

We need clean, green, renewable, non-nuclear energy, non biomass energy produced as much as possible close to the user with many more home producers.

Let private investment take the risk for HS2 and use the capital to re-create a national energy network.

Let’s get this job done.

Energy companies are too greedy. Our sick, elderly and working-class can’t afford to heat their homes. Re-nationalise as soon as possible and keep us out of debt.

Water and power services should be run by national authorities. Extra money needed for investment could be borrowed at fixed rates. This petition really needs to go big.

I am awake. For too long now have my eyes been shut to the abuses and corruption that is an endemic rot through the very fabric of society. I say viva la revolution.

The time has come for the downfall of the greedy Big Six, who are more than content to leave pensioners to freeze to death in their homes should they dare to eat vs heat.

I have been saying we should re-nationalise the industry for years.

People not profits.

This should never have been privatised.

We have sold off too many of our utilities that should be owned by the taxpayers. Water, Gas, Electricity are all owned by foreigners.

This issue is far too important to be left to multinationals who put profit before people and don’t care about driving customers into poverty and despair.

It is just daylight robbery, but what is there to stop them? No-one wants to say too much with the election so close so we get just the same clap-trap.

It’s about time this issue was brought to the fore.

Why should someone else control our energy supply?

Energy supply and distribution requires long term and nationwide co-ordination. Privatisation gives no reason to look to the future when a quick buck can be made now.

Of all the public services this has the strongest link between modern day human needs and climate change. We cannot leave it to the greedy pigs to manage.

We are being ripped off by these companies. Let’s disband them now and take back ownership.
