Prices increase every year and service standards drop. We need to reverse this trend for a fairer Britain.
How about paying for energy usage with, say, 3% income tax? The rich would pay more than the poor. Incentivise low usage by dropping the percentage.
We are the majority, ordinary working people reduced to living hand to mouth. This is the reality.
There are too many companies offering lots of deals. The consumer can’t work out what is best for them. Often changing suppliers makes it worse. We need clarification.
Profit is not a dirty word – all businesses need it to survive, but what we have with the energy companies is pure unvarnished greed.

It wasn’t completely Thatcher - she famously would not privatise water, railways or the Royal Mail. Major and Blair did a lot of the weird other sell offs and Vince Cable the Lib Dem flogged the post off at half price!! And all blamed Thatcher…….
Its taken forty years for Thatcher's Privatisation policies to fall down. And it could have been a lot sooner, with the right type of Labour Party.
