obviously privatisation has been a disaster. All the evidence is there. Thatcher was wrong. We need a proper left wing spokesman to highlight this.

Return energy to public ownership.

Run utilities for the people and the environment

Socialism was defeated from 1979 onwards. I was born in 1936 and it is time to restore it because of present day poverty and inequality.

It should never have been sold off in the first place. It’s a basic need which should be provided for the people by the people.

All infrastructure should be in public control – power and water, transport and telecommunications.

Essential services must be state-owned. Power for the people, by the people.

Of all the public services this has the strongest link between modern day human needs and climate change. We cannot leave it to the greedy pigs to manage.

No compensation for the shareholders who got the shares at a bargain price.

All the fuel companies are rogues.

It’s high time we stood together for the good of the majority.

I want public utilities in state hands, not those of corporations.

They should never have been sold off in the first place.

We only demand back what was once ours.

It’s crazy. We have the skills and the unemployed so we should use them.

Why has it taken so long to get started? The Tories are always fast enough pushing their privatisation schemes through parliament without asking for anyone’s opinions.

Things that everyone needs to survive should not be subject to profits for a few.

Either re-nationalise or be run as social enterprise which reinvests any excess into better infrastructure or gives to community projects.

Energy is an essential part of life. We shouldn’t be held to ransom by those who are only out for profit. Nationalise and reinvest the profits and/or reduce bills.

Taking out the running costs of so many companies could reduce prices instantly.

Giving the private sector monopolies is the most stupid thing, amongst many, the Tories ever did.

Everybody needs it, it’s essential and should not be run by firms from outside the UK who are only interested in making money.

This government is selling UK down the river good and proper. I have to work two days to pay for one week’s energy and I’m not wallowing in centrally heated bliss.

Regulator as much good as a chocolate teapot.

There are those that can and those that cannot heat their homes. I’m for supporting and speaking up for those that can’t.

Our heating is our biggest cost nowadays.

Regulators are captured by their industries and this makes the commercial model act against its consumers if pursuit of profits paid to foreign owners.

Nothing good ever came from privatisation.

Public utilities should be in public hands. It’s as simple as that.

End this disastrous privatisation.
