The privatisation of utilities and other national assets has been 30 years of failure and corruption. It should be stopped.

The more of us unite and speak out the better.

I’ve made the first step by ditching the big companies. I’ve moved my account to Co-operative energy, the first step to bring excessive profits back to members.

We have been ripped off far too long by corrupt government after corrupt government. It’s time the public voice was heard.

Re-nationalise all the stuff that once belonged to us now.

Bring back the CEGB. They would have solved the reduction of CO2 problem, got nuclear generation, got safe generation margins etc.

Light and heat are basic human needs and profits should not be made from their provision.

Gas and electricity were once in public ownership and ran without problems of profit making. They should be returned to public ownership.

Fuel to keep warm, heat water and cook food should be affordable for all. Re-nationalise the energy firms. People before profits.

Too much attention to profits when we should be concentrating on improving life chances.

Let’s get the utilities out of the hands of these greedy bastards. They should belong to the community at large.

Privatisation of public industries is a proven failure.

Not everyone has the ability to access information on cheaper deals. The result is, as in so many other areas, that those least able to afford it end up paying most.

Of all the public services this has the strongest link between modern day human needs and climate change. We cannot leave it to the greedy pigs to manage.

Too many million-pound salaries for energy company CEOs while the elderly and others choose between heating and lighting and eating.

If shareholders’ profit was reallocated to fund development of sustainable sources of power it would vastly reduce the cost of living for many poor families.

Let’s bring an end to the extortion racket that is operated by the power companies.

These industries should never have been privatised in the first place.

I have been saying we should re-nationalise the industry for years.

It’s time to turn back the tide. Private is not always best. Let’s have more pride in civic institutions.

They should never have been split up.

I have photo-voltaics and have done a lot to make my home energy efficient. It would be good if the government allowed us to do the same with national energy provision.

Give us back our power.

Give the money back that you have overcharged consumers.

Even the Victorians had the sense to understand that utilities so vital should not be private.

This needs to happen.
